Musings on Green Day.

"I wanna be the minority;
I don't need your authority.
Down with the moral majority,
'Cause I wanna be the minority!"

I first heard Green Day at the end of my junior year of high school. However, I knew of Green Day before that because of a friend of mine whose name was Becca. She loved Green Day and spent a lot of time listening to them when we had been at school together.

When I got my first MP3 player, I was searching around for music to put on it. Then, I got the brilliant idea to put some Green Day songs on it, and my life has not been the same since. The first song I ever heard was Minority, and it remains one of my favorites even now. Furthermore, I can proudly say that my first Green Day song was one of their older ones! Not many people can do that, especially after American Idiot came out, so I feel honored. Of course, I have other favorite songs, as well – but it would take too long to list them all.

My favorite band member is Tré Cool, the drummer, because he’s such a free spirit. He doesn’t seem to care what others think of him; he just does his own thing. In addition, he has a sense of humor very similar to my own, and he’s the most perverted man on the planet! His looks help quite a bit, too, but those are secondary to everything else.

Finally, I’d like to thank Billie Joe, Mike, and Tré for everything they’ve done. If it weren’t for them, I’d have never discovered Nine Inch Nails or The Ramones! Moreover, I probably wouldn’t have had the courage to move out or tell my parents I wanted to quit school for good. Therefore, I owe a lot to them and love them with all my heart. <3
